Stand Up Paddling for Cancer Survivors

I have recently  introduced the PaddleOn Program to my patients in Johannesburg South Africa. I am a PINC Certified therapist: PINC & Steel is an Oncology Rehabilitation training institution based in New Zealand. PaddleON is a very successful rehabilitation program in New Zealand, and I felt it would be a success in South Africa too.

It allows the person recovering from cancer treatment to get involved in a healthy outdoor activity, but in a safe and calm way. I always attend the SUP lesson with you, and we can have one-on-one sessions, or you can join a small group of similar ability.

An indemnity form for this activity will need to be filled in, and all safety precautions and Covid-19 protocols are followed. Being outdoors and everyone having their own paddle board, also helps us to remain socially distant, but connected through the fun activity.

Sandile from SUPfit.co.za ensures the equipment is ready and he gives you all the starter tips and advice you will need. Having both of us with you, ensures you are with someone at all times, even if you like to take things slowly and absorb the  beautiful surroundings. This is Your time and Your rehab.

The cost is R250 for an hour of Stand up paddling. The equipment rental is included. One-on-one sessions are R300pp. You can claim back a large portion of this cost from your medical aid, if you require.

Please contact me, Candice- send me a watsapp on 071 382 8638, if you would like to try this out, or if you have any questions before you sign up.
